In a noble initiative, students of a Delhi university college are recycling used papers for making several products to be used at the institute’s offices.According to PTI, she said the students trained under the project are now making 70-100 paper sheets per day and recasting them into different products.
“We started working on a project ‘Use of Innovative Raw Material for Handmade Paper’ in 2014. Besides recycling used papers we are also trying to make paper out of other (useless and non-wood) materials,” the Zakir Husain College principal Sangeeta Pandita told PTI.
The paper recycle based waste minimization is an initiative by students of Zakir Hussain College. Apart from running a successful handmade paper recycling unit, these students also plan to offer training to students and teachers of other colleges of the Delhi University
